How Can We Help

What We Do

The Self Help Resource Center is a free walk-in service to help individuals represent themselves in court without a lawyer. 


Staff cannot offer legal advice but can assist in finding helpful resources and provide legal information. Legal information includes court forms and the tools to help complete them as well as answers to general questions about court procedures.The Center is open to the public on a walk-in basis, no appointment necessary.

We assist with Small Claims lawsuits. The Franklin County Small Claims Court is a division of the Municipal Court for cases involving money damages of $6,000 or less. Forms and additional resources are available by visiting the Small Claims Division.
